At the heart of the design is the subtle contrast: matt black fixtures and fittings sit beautifully against warm cream and sand-toned tiles from Villeroy & Boch.
A Bold Shower Zone That Feels Built-In
The shower enclosure was designed to make a statement without overpowering the room. We installed a Kudos Pinnacle matt black pivot door and paired it with a dual-head Villeroy and Boch shower, perfect for both refreshing mornings and long evening wind-downs. A corner Keuco chrome basket keeps products within easy reach, while maintaining the clean, uncluttered look the Mrs Rogers wanted.
Smart Storage, Elegant Finish
Beneath the Villeroy and Boch white basin, a matching Subway 2.0 vanity unit in matt black provides hidden storage for toiletries and towels. It’s a piece that ties in perfectly with the rest of the room’s monochrome details, such as the gloss aluminium handles and the striking matt black towel radiator from Barwicks. Above the basin, a Sensio illuminated mirror adds soft, ambient light—ideal for those quieter early mornings or late evening routines.
Finishing Touches That Make a Difference
The wall-hung WC from Villeroy and Boch keeps the floor area feeling open and easy to clean, while the black flush plate adds a subtle design detail that aligns with the rest of the room’s palette. For comfort and ease, we also installed recessed LED downlights and ventilation, ensuring the ensuite stays well-lit and fresh year-round.
This ensuite bathroom might not be the largest room in the house, but it’s one of the most used. Now, it offers both comfort and character, with design choices that elevate the everyday. From the matt black fixtures to the gentle warmth of the tiles, every element of this space was chosen to create a peaceful retreat, one that feels effortlessly refined.
