Mr Niven had been envisioning a modern update to his kitchen for years. When the time finally came, he turned to Adamson Construction to help bring his dream to life. Inspired by our showroom display kitchen, Mr Niven opted for a stunning concrete-look range from Beckermann. Here’s how we did it.
We began by carefully removing the existing kitchen, stripping out units, worktops, and appliances, and preparing the space for rewiring and re-plastering. Once the structural and electrical works were complete including new lighting points, sockets, and under-cabinet illumination we installed a striking Beckermann kitchen.
The cabinets combine dark Concrete and Alpine finishes, balanced with graphite interiors and chrome detailing. Smart pull-out larders, corner storage solutions, and built-in bins ensure every inch is used efficiently. Above, sleek wall cabinets frame the cooking area, which features a Neff gas hob, extractor, and twin Neff ovens all finished in black with graphite trim.
A large double-glazed window was installed to bring natural light into the kitchen, echoing the exterior colour scheme in anthracite grey. The new window not only improves insulation, but elevates the room’s aesthetic with slim frames and chrome handles.
Geo Collection “Nolita” worktops complete the picture, flowing seamlessly into upstands and integrated window cills for a polished finish.
Ian reflected on the project, saying,
“In a way I enjoyed the whole experience of the project. I liked to think I got involved and also learned a lot. I made over fifty friends and at times I felt I was one of your team!
A special mention must go to Lee, Paul the Plasterer, Nick, Joe the Electrician, Connor and Paul the Roofer. Also, Steve, Joseph and the wonderful Millie, who was the main reason I started this project in the first place.”
Company director Rachel added:
“This project was a perfect example of how close collaboration with our clients leads to exceptional results. Ian’s passion and involvement throughout allowed us to create a space that truly reflects his personality and story.”
