Mr & Mrs Barrington were keen to transform their unused loft space into a serene bedroom retreat where they could escape the noise and demands of daily life. They wanted a space that would feel light, restful, and well-integrated with the rest of their home, somewhere they’d genuinely enjoy spending time.
Our architectural designers began by working with the angles of the existing roof structure to create a room that feels both open and intimate. Sloped ceilings were embraced rather than hidden, helping to shape a space that feels full of character. To make the most of every inch, the layout was carefully planned to maximise usable floor area and maintain good head height throughout.
Natural light was a key priority. We installed Velux skylights to flood the new bedroom with daylight, enhancing its calm, airy atmosphere. These openings not only provide views of the sky and treetops but also make the space feel significantly more spacious. Combined with soft, neutral finishes and simple detailing, the result is a bright yet restful environment. This loft conversion is the perfect place to relax and recharge.
From start to finish, this loft conversion has added both value and comfort to the home, offering the Barringtons a peaceful hideaway that meets their needs both now and into the future.
