Bright Rear Extension - Adlington

We began by extending further into the garden, maximising the available footprint without overwhelming the outdoor space. The new layout was carefully designed to offer generous proportions while still feeling welcoming and homely. A key design goal was to enhance the connection between inside and out. We introduced large sliding glass doors that open up the room to the garden, creating a natural extension of the living space during warmer months.

To ensure the space remained light-filled we installed three sleek skylights along the new roofline. These overhead windows draw sunlight deep into the room, eliminating dark corners and creating a bright, uplifting atmosphere from morning to evening.

Inside, the homeowners have made the most of their new space. Mr & Mrs Freelove have created a comfortable lounge area, a dining space perfect for entertaining, and plenty of room to move between the two. The result is a space that’s flexible, sociable and calming an impressive improvement to the way the home is lived in.
