Rather than working around the existing layout, the decision was made to rethink the space properly. By working closely with our team, the project was carefully planned from the outset so every stage (structural changes through to the final installation) was expertly handled by one experienced team.
Rethinking The Layout
Creating the new ensuite meant restructuring part of the existing layout. Internal stud walls were adjusted and new partition walls built to form a defined bathroom space connected directly to the master bedroom.
New door openings were created and existing doors reused where possible, ensuring the finished layout felt natural and practical without unnecessary disruption elsewhere in the home. Sound-deadening insulation was incorporated within the new partition walls so the room would remain quiet and comfortable in everyday use.
Once the new structure was in place, the ceiling was overboarded and replastered to create a clean finish ready for the installation stage.
A High-Quality Installation Throughout
With the layout established, attention turned to the installation of the new bathroom.
Sanitaryware from Villeroy & Boch was chosen for its quality and timeless design. A vanity unit in glossy grey provides practical storage while keeping the room visually clean and uncluttered. The wall-hung Architectura toilet, paired with a concealed cistern and brushed chrome flush plate, maintains the same streamlined look across the room.
A spacious quadrant enclosure from Kudos Showers forms the showering area, paired with the customers existing Mira electric shower carefully refitted within the new layout.
Large format tiles from Villeroy & Boch were installed across both the walls and floor, creating a cohesive finish. The lighter Opal Grey wall tiles keep the space feeling bright, while the darker Slate Grey floor tiles provide contrast and durability.
Comfort and Finishing Touches
To complete the space, everything was considered including the smaller details like towel hooks and small storage. Mr & Mrs Ross-Sercombe opted for classic chrome finishes throughout plus an anthracite Vogue heated towel rail to provide warmth in a contemporary style that perfectly matches the rest of the room.
A Fully Managed Bathroom Renovation
As with every bathroom renovation that we deliver, the entire project was managed from start to finish by our expert team. The existing bathroom was carefully stripped out, services safely isolated, and the structural alterations completed before moving on to plumbing, electrics, tiling and final installation. Every stage was coordinated and delivered by experienced trades, ensuring the quality of the finished result matched the expectations set at the start of the project.
By managing the process in-house, the homeowners were able to rely on one team to handle everything from the initial preparation through to the final installation.
A Bathroom Designed to Last
The finished ensuite is calm, practical and built to a high standard. Large format tiles, quality sanitaryware and thoughtful storage combine to create a space that feels modern and well balanced. This, paired with our customer for life promise means Mr & Mrs Ross-Sercombe now have a bathroom they will love for many more years to come.
