When Ms. Reid decided to improve her home, one of her key goals was to add a dedicated utility room to enhance the functionality of her space. Working with our Architectural Designer, Millie, a single-storey rear extension was built to deliver the necessary storage and functionality.

Tall cupboards house the vacuum, mop, and ironing board, while extra shelving makes storing detergents and cleaning supplies simple and accessible. A durable, easy-to-clean floor was chosen to suit the room’s practical function, and the finishes were kept clean and neutral, in keeping with the rest of the home.
With this transformation, Ms. Reid now has a dedicated space for her bulkier cleaning items and no longer has to carry them downstairs from her upstairs cupboard. The utility area has become a quiet, efficient zone where laundry can be done without disrupting the flow of family life.
