Our clients originally had a glass orangery-style conservatory, which looked lovely but simply wasn’t usable year-round: too hot in the summer, and too cold in the winter. We removed the structure and replaced it with a well-insulated brick extension that now offers year-round comfort without compromising on light.
The new flat-roofed extension features parapet walls with profiled coping, a large central atrium, and expansive glazing on all sides. At one end, a three-leaf bifold door opens up to the garden, while two UPVC windows and an external door ensure views and access from every angle.
Inside, the extension forms a cosy snug area, providing the perfect space for socialising, relaxing, or watching TV while someone’s cooking. Eight brushed steel dimmable downlights allow for mood lighting in the evenings, while Nordic Oak Amtico flooring continues throughout for a seamless flow.
The new layout connects kitchen, snug, and garden in a way that’s far more practical and welcoming than the old setup, truly a transformation in both appearance and everyday use.
