When Ms Harries was ready to further extend her home and have a new kitchen, she returned to Adamsons. Having worked with us previously on a rear extension, she had seen first hand how we deliver on our promises and produce high quality home transformations. Ten years on from her first project with us, she invited us back again.
Creating More Space, Without Creating More Stress
Ms Harries wanted to extend her home further and design a kitchen that felt open, modern and calm. The new single storey extension introduced a vaulted ceiling and roof windows, bringing height and natural light into the space and giving the kitchen a far more architectural feel.
Rather than focusing on the technicalities of the build, the priority for this homeowner was knowing that everything would be handled properly. From the early design stages through to the final finishes, the entire project was coordinated by one team. There was no need for her to manage multiple contractors or chase progress, it was all taken care of.
Because she works long hours, that reassurance mattered just as much as the finished result.
A Kitchen Designed to Suit The New Space
With the extension complete, the kitchen itself was reimagined to make the most of the enlarged footprint.
The Masterclass Amalfi range in Scotts Grey was chosen for its clean, contemporary look. The tone works beautifully in the light-filled extension, feeling refined and understated rather than overpowering. Integrated appliances from Neff keep the lines streamlined, while generous drawer storage ensures everything has its place.
Milano Arctic Frost laminate worktops introduce a crisp contrast against the cabinetry, and full glass splashbacks enhance the sense of brightness created by the vaulted ceiling and rooflights. Underfoot, Amtico flooring adds durability while maintaining the modern aesthetic.
The finished kitchen feels spacious, balanced and easy to move around in – a natural extension of the home rather than a separate addition.
A Managed Experience From Start to Finish
Throughout the build, the emphasis was on keeping disruption to a minimum and providing clarity at every stage.
A temporary kitchen was installed so daily routines could continue while work was underway. The project was delivered on a fixed price agreed from the outset, removing uncertainty around costs. Communication was consistent and proactive, so the homeowner always knew what was happening without needing to oversee it herself.
It’s this structured, carefully managed approach that often makes the biggest difference, particularly on high-value projects where the scale of work can otherwise feel overwhelming.
Another Returning Customer
Choosing to extend a home once is a significant decision. Choosing to do it again with the same company more than a decade later speaks volumes.
For this Tintwistle homeowner, the experience was just as important as the outcome. She wanted a beautiful, well-built extension and kitchen, but she also wanted confidence that everything would be handled properly.
The result is a light-filled, contemporary space that enhances the property and supports her lifestyle, delivered in a way that felt calm, organised and entirely in hand from start to finish.
