Ms Reid wanted to enhance her home with a purpose-built utility space and a sleek, contemporary kitchen that matched the rest of their modern interior. We transformed her space with a seamless rear extension and a beautifully designed kitchen, blending style and functionality for effortless everyday living.
When Ms Reid approached us, she was looking to improve her home by adding a purpose-built utility space and a modern kitchen that would complement the rest of the improvements she was making throughout her home. Working with our Architectural Designer, Millie, Ms Reid designed a single-storey rear extension which would provide much-needed space for a dedicated utility room.
Constructed with carefully matched brickwork, the rear extension feels like a natural part of the home, maintaining both the aesthetic and structural integrity of the property. Inside, the utility room has been thoughtfully planned to make household chores easier with space for both a washing machine and tumble dryer. Additionally a tall cabinet provides storage for larger items such as ironing boards and the vacuum which freed up space in other areas of the home. A bespoke shelf above the washing machine and tumble dryer maximises storage while keeping the room uncluttered.
The kitchen transformation is just as striking. The original layout has been reimagined to suit modern living; Ms Reid opted for a sleek, contemporary kitchen in the same elegant Stone Grey finish, with lithium graphite plinths for a seamless look. The addition of a spacious larder, stylish modern chrome, and premium Neff gas hob, single oven and extractor elevates the space, ensuring both functionality and sophistication.
An Arctic Frost Milano worktop ties the kitchen and utility together, offering a durable and beautiful surface for both cooking and daily tasks. Tiled splashbacks add texture, while a Blanco Adira sink and Mida chrome tap complete the design, ensuring every detail was thoughtfully considered
Millie helped me find a design that met my needs, taste and budget, and had lots of suggestions as to how to make the best use of the space. Knowing the price was fixed was very reassuring.
The quality of the work, especially the kitchen fitting, was excellent. Everyone on the project was friendly and professional, and focused on causing the least disruption possible whilst delivering the best result they could. Christine ensured that the few snags that emerged afterwards were quickly fixed. I am delighted with the end result.
